1. Physical Health: The Foundation of Well-Being
-
Weight Check: Is your pet at a healthy weight for their breed and age? Popping them on a set of scales, or doing a quick at-home body condition assessment can go a long way.
-
Teeth & Gums: Peek inside that mouth! Tartar, red gums, or bad breath can be signs of dental trouble.
-
Ears: Look for redness, discharge, or odors—possible signs of infection.
-
Eyes: Bright and clear is the goal. Check for cloudiness, excessive tearing or anything else unusual.
-
Skin & Coat: Their coat should be shiny and clean. Check for rashes, bald spots, lumps and bump, and any signs of fleas or ticks.
-
Paws & Nails: Trim nails that are too long, and check paw pads for irritation or cuts.
-
Vet Visit: When was your pet’s last routine check-up? If it's been a while, or you notice anything out of the ordinary, schedule a visit.
2. Nutrition: Fuel Their Fun
-
Diet Review: Is your pet’s food still appropriate for their age, size, and activity level? Adjust as needed! If they’re looking thinner or fatter than usual, it may be a sign that their diet needs changing.
-
Fresh Water: Simple, but essential. Make sure clean water is always available, and that their water bowl is regularly washed.
-
Healthy Treats: Treats are great—but keep them nutritious! We have nutritious natural treats for dogs of all shapes and sizes!
3. Exercise & Enrichment: For Body and Brain
-
Daily Movement: From long walks to outdoor play sessions, make sure your pet stays active - it’s great for mind and body!
-
Toys & Games: Rotate toys to keep things fresh and stimulating.
-
Training Time: Teach a new trick or reinforce old ones—it’s fun and strengthens your bond.
4. Emotional Well-Being: Happy Heart, Happy Pet
-
Affection & Bonding: Snuggle up, go for a stroll, or just hang out together.
-
Safe Space: A comfy, quiet place to relax can reduce stress and anxiety.
-
Stress Signs: Watch for subtle changes—like hiding, excessive barking, or appetite shifts.
5. Grooming: Because They Deserve Spa Days Too
-
Bath Time: Only if needed, and always use pet-friendly shampoo, suitable for your pets coat type.
-
Brushing: Regular brushing helps with shedding and keeps the coat healthy.
-
Ear Care: Gently clean ears with vet-approved solutions, if required.
-
Nail Trims: Keep nails trim for comfortable walks.

-
First Aid Kit: Have a pet-specific kit ready for any minor emergencies.
Bonus: Celebrate the Day!
-
Photo Op: Snap that adorable pic and share the love online.
-
Spoil Your Pet: A new toy or healthy treat goes a long way.
-
